Intro To Earthing
Earthing Body Bands and Patches can be used anywhere you stretch, work out, sit, relax, or sleep and are a great, inexpensive, introduction to experience the benefits of Earthing. The Bands and Patches can be used in conjunction with any other Earthing Products.
The Small Body Band is excellent for targetting pain and inflammation in particular areas such as wrists, fingers, toes and ankles as well as grounding the whole body.
The Medium Body Band is excellent for targetting pain and inflammation in particular areas such as knees, thighs, upper arms and shoulder as well as grounding the whole body.
The bands are adjustable with velcro small (15-25cm), medium (26-56cm) and contain conductive silver fibers on the inside that ground the body when they are connected to an Earthed outlet. The bands open up fully to a flat strip.
The Patches are similar to the ECG/EKG electrode patches commonly used by doctors for testing purposes. When used for Earthing, you simply apply them to the skin on some part of the body, such as a site of tenderness or pain and connect to an earthed outlet. The patches are disposable and will last for 2-3 uses.
PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS THE USA VIDEO AND YOU WILL NEED OUR INCLUDED AUSTRALIAN ADAPTER PLUG TO GO INTO THE POWER POINT FIRST AS SEEN IN SECOND VIDEO.

Step 1: Check Your Outlets Are Earthed with our Socket Tester:
In order to use your Earthing products through an electrical outlet, you must connect it to the “earth port” of an earthed 3 prong outlet. Before plugging in your Earthing product, check that the outlet is earthed by plugging in the Socket Tester. Three orange lights illuminated is GOOD and means that you have a proper earth and you are ready to connect your Earthing product. Any other light combination means your outlet is NOT properly earthed. Try testing another outlet. If it still doesn’t work, then you will need to use a grounding rod in the optional step 2 below.
Please Note: In Australia it is compulsory by law to have all electrical power outlets Earthed, however, if in doubt for any reason it is easy to check with our socket tester which are inclusive in all our Starter Packs, otherwise you can purchase individually – please click here to order.
Step 2: (Optional) Using The Ground Rod When Outlets Aren't Earthed:
a. First Push the Ground Rod directly into the earth around 20cm to 25cm, close to the foundation of the building and where vegetation is growing or the area is damp.
b. Run the cord from the Ground Rod, under or around a window or door, near where you will be using your product.
c. Make sure to cover the cord to prevent tripping.
d. Plug the prong end of your cord into the receptacle end of the Ground Rod cord. If you live in a dry area, such as a desert, soak the earth around the Ground Rod from time to time for maximum conductivity.
Step 3: Using Your Body Bands & Patches:
a. The body bands can be put around your foot or ankle, hand or wrist, shoulder or thigh, touching bare skin. Place the patch on bare skin near site of injury.
b. Snap the cord onto the Body Band connection tab.
c. Insert the end of your Earthing Cord into one of the holes in your Australian Adaper Plug, then plug into a grounded wall outlet.
d. You must make direct skin contact with Body Bands.
Step 4: How To Test For Conductivity With The Product Continuity Tester:
The purpose of the tester is to verify that your Earthing Mat is conductive
a. Firstly verify that the Product Tester itself is operational by pressing button that says “press” and release—the small light on front will flash green one time then goes off. Indicates tester is good. If no green light battery (Lithium CR2032) may be flat or unit faulty.
b. Snap Coil Cord included onto Product Tester’s metal press stud, if not already assembled.
c. Insert your grey Earthing Adapter Plug into the power outlet you intend to use with your product.
d. Insert prong end of Product Tester Cord into one receptacle of the adapter plug or if using a Ground Rod, attach a splitter to end of ground rod cord and insert into one of the receptacles.
e. Plug Earthing cord from the Band into the other receptacle. You should now have both the Earthing Band and Tester connected to the plug that is in a power outlet.
f. Place product tester flat on the Band. The round metal plate must be in contact with surface of the Band. Press firmly on the mat to obtain a good contact and press down on the "Press" button. A green light means that mat is in working order. In unlikely case that no green light comes on, the mat may be defective or has lost conductivity and should be replaced – you should also check your connecting cords to make sure they are conductive as well (see below).
Note: Sometimes, people have difficulty testing their bands. If the light doesn’t come on, place one hand or fingers on the band while holding the tester in the other hand and with one finger on the silver button on back of tester. A green light would show that the body is grounded when touching the Band. Make sure that both the tester and the product are plugged in to the earth, as described above. You can also put some moisture on your finger tips to create a better contact.
g. Disconnect product tester from the adapter plug or ground rod. However, it is fine to leave plugged in to test when needed later on
h. You don’t have to test your products often. Perhaps after cleaning. The more you use the tester, the sooner the batteries in the tester will expire, replace battery (Lithium CR2032) by unscrewing the back panel.
Test Your Product Cords For Conductivity:
- Replace the coil cord already on the product tester with the cord to be tested.
- Touch the metal pin of the testing cord to the back of the metal disk on the tester
- Hold down and press the “Press” button for at least 3 seconds.
- A green light indicates that the cord is in good working order.
Step 5: How To Wash and Care For Your Earthing Bands
Preferred cleaning method is to hand wash with soap and then immediately put them in the dryer on low heat or air dry indoors. Washing machines are too aggressive and the band will be immersed in water for a long time. The snaps are Nickel plated brass and the wire is Stainless Steel both of which are corrosion resistant. However, even Stainless Steel will start to corrode with long term water immersion. The conductive material is carbon so it will not oxidize but the rubber elasticity will be affected by bleach or oxidizing agents and high temperature is not good. Do not dry in the sun; the UV and hot sun will impact the elasticity.

Love The BandsBy: Annelle on 18 May 2015I absolutely love the bands that I wear around my ankles every night. I have not slept this well for decades. I hardly move during the night and hardly ever have to get up to go to the toilet. I am a little disappointed at how easily the cord 'pops off' the band though and that is very annoying. I have now threaded the cord through the loop of the band and that helps a lot with the 'popping off'. I wonder if the bands are as effective if you only end up wearing just one band during the night, instead of two, because one of them has become disconnected?
Hello Annelle Sorry to hear about the cord popping off, this does not normally happen so there maybe there is a possibility that it is faulty. We will send you out a replacement immediately.
improvement on wrist painBy: Pia on 1 December 2014After using these for a month now, I have no more wrist pain that I have had for the last 3 years, form 30 years of dog grooming, I can now sleep without pain and can groom without having pain while I am working. Have also used it on a dog of my clients for inflammation in her neck that has now all gone and the sweeling has now disappeared.
Astounding!By: Merryn E on 1 September 2014After plugging ourselves in for the night and drifting off to an easier than normal sleep, my husband and I woke in the morning and stared at each other in amazement. It was the first night we'd both slept through in deep sleep in a very long time. My husband was even using real words instead of his normal neanderthal grunts! By the second morning, my normally stiff and sore knees were feeling loose, flexible and totally unrestricted. We've both experienced easy sleep entry and deeper sleep and wake up more refreshed and alert. I've spent a few nights away for work and really miss the kit.. I've bought extras now for future trips.. :). It takes a little getting used to having a wire in your bed, but it doesn't take long, and sleeping soundly means you don't notice it much anyway. One thing we found helpful, was to feed the line under the band and then clip it on the band, much like a guitarist loops the lead through the shoulder strap - helps to reduce the inadvertent unplugging through the night. We also feed the cable from the wall up under the pillow too, so it's easer to roll over.
