We've had such a hectic week here in the office! We've been busy sending out loads of orders to customers around Australia and packing up our great products (including some exciting new ones we will announce soon) in preparation for the Mind Body Spirit Festival in Melbourne next weekend. While we've been so hectic in the office, our staff love the fact they can still connect to the Earth while they work – all our work stations have universal mats so staff can kick off their shoes and still get Grounded – or wear Grounding footwear and reap the benefits of the Earth's free electrons.

But it got me thinking. How many of you get Grounded on a regular basis? Are you actually aware of how much time you spend barefoot on the earth or getting grounded using Earthing products on a weekly basis?

I asked a friend (a busy mother of two) to keep a Grounding journal, and to write down over the course of fourteen days how many times her bare feet actually touched the earth. Not surprising, the results were quite shocking.

In between working, school drops offs and pick-ups, children's sports, housework, social outings, plus the usual hustle and bustle of a weekend, she managed a total of only 2.5 hours grounding – in the two weeks.

"The only time I really got to stop and take my shoes off and connect with the earth was a couple of afternoons after school playing in the backyard with the kids. It was the same on the weekend. But it was a conscious decision I had to make to take my shoes off, as I am so used to going everywhere with shoes on my feet. I would probably only ever go barefoot at home too " I don't think it's safe to do so at a public park in case of broken glass or needles."

Are you in a similar situation? Are you so busy "doing" life that you rarely have time to stop and smell the roses – let alone feel the Earth under your feet?

This week, I encourage you to keep a journal and jot down how much "real time" you spend connecting back to Earth. Of course, if you're got your indoor Earthing products your way ahead, but pretend you didn't have them and see just how much you would connect in a week. Or challenge a friend to keep the journal and compare how many hours you each spend connected to the Earth.
