Washing Your Earthing Sheets

We get many calls about "how should I wash my Earthing sheet?” and although this information is on our User Guide for Australia, which comes with all products, some of our customers are still washing their sheets incorrectly and this can reduce the longevity of the sheets.  So please follow these simple steps to get the most out of your sheet:-
Do’s
Do wash your Earthing sheet a minimum of twice per month, more washing is better than less washing.
Do wash your sheet in a washing machine.
Do wash your sheet with WARM water – Washing in warm water strips body sweat and natural skin oils from the silver keeping it conductive.
Do line dry your sheet and do dry your sheet in a dryer on low if needed.
Do use mild liquid laundry detergent, such as Earth Choice.
If you need to iron your sheet use low heat.

Don’ts
Don’t was with bleach of any description.
Don’t use whitening detergents or oxi-detergents – this includes regular powders that claim to whiten and brighten, etc.
Don’t use liquid fabric softeners or dryer sheets.
Don’t use liquid detergent containing Eucalyptus – such as Wool Wash, Essential oils - such as Lavender, or Orange and Lemon Oils.
Don’t apply lotions or body oils at least one hour before bed.

HOW TO WASH EARTHING PILLOW CASES:
Wash every week and follow all other instructions as for sheets.
Sweat and oil from the head can build up quite quickly on the pillow cases so it is imperative that you wash every week in warm to hot water in the washing machine.

Earth Choice washing powder

If i wash my sheet in the machine (front loader) I don't know whether the blue Earth Choice liquid is suitable. I bought the machine powder from Earth Choice but have doubts about it, as it says it is not for delicates. Do you have any info or advice on this? I'd appreciate something on this page for others to see.

The blue Earth Choice liquid is suitable for a front loader and to wash your Earthing sheets with and it is our preferred choice to wash the Earthing sheets in as we know it has no natural oils or whiteners that may damage the sheet's silver threads over time. You are quite right not to use the powder as this is more abrasive and could possibly oxidise the silver thread over time. It is also recommended to use a warm water wash.
